Conference Catch Up May 2026

Our Spring 2026 Cancer Support Conference brought together people living with or beyond a cancer diagnosis, healthcare professionals, volunteers and supporters for a welcoming day of learning, connection and conversation.

Attendees heard from expert speakers on breast cancer support, hypnotherapy and stress management, genomic testing in cancer care, prostate cancer awareness and more. How can I access counselling support?
To enquire about counselling, email info@hccnthecharity.org. Your details will be shared with one of our nurses based at the Woodlands Centre. They’ll get in touch to understand your needs and check if counselling is the best next step.

If it is, you’ll be added to a waiting list and contacted once a space becomes available. We’re here to support you at a pace that feels right for you.

How many conferences do you run a year?

HCCN hosts two conferences each year—one in spring (around May) and another in autumn (around November).

These events bring together local professionals, individuals affected by cancer, and supporters to share knowledge, offer inspiration, and explore the many ways we can support wellbeing during and beyond cancer treatment.

Who can I contact for support if I don’t live in Huntingdonshire?

At HCCN, we’re passionate about supporting those affected by cancer—but our services are currently focused on adults living with or beyond a cancer diagnosis within Huntingdonshire.

If you live outside this area, you’re not alone. We encourage you to reach out to your GP, hospital-based support teams, or local cancer charities, who may offer services similar to ours. Many communities have their own wellbeing programmes, peer groups, or counselling services tailored to those navigating cancer.
