This week marks a special milestone for HCCN, it’s been four years since Bradbury House first opened its doors for our weekly Friday drop-ins, offering a welcoming space for adults living with or beyond cancer in Huntingdonshire.
Since that first Friday in 2022, Bradbury House has welcomed hundreds of individuals each week, offering a safe space for conversation, gentle activity and meaningful connection. From yoga and Tai Chi to coffee and cake, the centre has become a vital part of our weekly calendar, running sessions every Friday from 10am.

But Bradbury House has come to represent much more than a schedule of events. It’s become a symbol of what happens when people come together. To listen, to share and to support one another through every stage of a cancer journey.
“Bradbury House helped us realise just how vital these safe, social spaces are,” said a spokesperson from HCCN.
“They’ve shown us what’s possible when you bring support to people’s doorsteps and build community alongside care.”

The success of Bradbury House laid the foundation for further outreach. Inspired by the warmth and impact of our Huntingdon sessions, we’ve since launched satellite drop-in groups in St Neots, St Ives and Sawtry, helping us reach more people across the region, all built on the same principle: connection, support and community.
Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, everyone is welcome at Bradbury House. There’s always a cuppa on offer, a chance to take part in activities, or simply enjoy the company of others who understand.
