Conference Catch Up – April 2024

30 April 2024 | Conferences

Watch the full video of the HCCN Conference Spring 2024, held on April 30th at the Brampton Golf Club in Huntingdon.

This conference featured insightful talks on the latest developments in cancer research, nutrition, and treatment techniques.

The event included a welcome coffee, followed by Professor Rob Thomas discussing the latest in nutrition and exercise related to cancer. Jackie Bland then spoke on how to incorporate new lifestyle advice into daily life.

The breakout groups covered yoga, breathwork, meditation practices, updates on breast cancer AI trials, biopsy mechanics, dietary tips, and hands-on cancer demos with the capsule cyto-sponge. After lunch, Professor Rob Thomas shared in-depth technical findings on cancer related to diet and exercise. Sadly Amy Bates from the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre was not able to attend due to illness but she sent us her slides, providing insights on radiotherapy and its integration with other therapies.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Jan Davis and Graham Heywood. Although the afternoon sessions were more technical and aimed at HCCN nurses, everyone was welcome to attend the entire day. Subscribe for more updates on future conferences!
