Farewells, welcomes and a new chapter at HCCN

23 September 2026 | Latest News

There are a few changes happening within the HCCN team, as we say a fond farewell to one familiar face and welcome two new members of the team.

At the end of September, we’ll be saying goodbye to Hayley Furniss, with our huge thanks for everything she has brought to HCCN over the past two years. We’re also delighted to have welcomed Sharon Clarke as our new Office Administrator. From October, Victoria Goldsmith will be joining us as our new Fundraising Manager.

We wanted to take a moment to introduce Sharon and Victoria properly and to say a heartfelt thank you to Hayley as she prepares to leave us. 💙

A Thank You to Hayley

After more than two years as part of the HCCN team, we’ll be saying a fond farewell to Hayley Furniss at the end of September.

Since joining us in August 2024, Hayley has been a valued member of our team, supporting the charity behind the scenes and helping ensure everything runs smoothly for our members, volunteers and supporters.

Her dedication, kindness and calm approach have made a real difference, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed during her time with HCCN.

Thank you, Hayley, for all your hard work and support. We wish you every success for the future and hope you’ll always feel part of the HCCN family. 💙

Welcome to Our New Fundraising Manager, Victoria Goldsmith

We’re delighted to welcome Victoria Goldsmith to the HCCN team as our new Fundraising Manager. Victoria brings more than 19 years of community and events fundraising experience across the UK charity sector, with a track record of building trusted relationships, inspiring supporters, and delivering sustainable income growth.

Victoria joins us from East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), where she led community fundraising across Cambridgeshire and delivered exceptional results including a 66% increase in income, major event successes, strengthened partnerships, and vibrant volunteer engagement. She has also held fundraising roles with Breast Cancer UK, Papworth Hospital, and Cancer Research UK.

Warm, proactive and deeply values driven, Victoria is passionate about helping people live well and supporting local health related causes. She’s excited to meet our supporters, volunteers and partners, and to help grow HCCN’s impact across Huntingdonshire. We’re thrilled to have her with us and looking forward to working with her from the 1st October.

We’re delighted to welcome Sharon Clarke as our new Office Administrator

Sharon brings with her a wealth of experience in administration, organisation, recruitment, HR and customer service. Most recently, she worked as an Executive Assistant with the United States Air Force, supporting senior leaders in a busy and fast-paced environment. She is highly organised, proactive and experienced in managing lots of different priorities while keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Sharon also has many years of experience working with people, developing practical office systems and processes, maintaining accurate records and providing excellent administrative support.

We’re really pleased to have Sharon joining us and hope you’ll all give her a very warm welcome as she settles into her new role and gets to know everyone.
