Get Active, Movement That Supports You

27 March 2026 | Resources

We’re sharing this thoughtful video exploring the role of physical activity before, during and after cancer treatment, something often called pre-habilitation and rehabilitation.

At Hunts Community Cancer Network, we support adults 18+ living with or beyond a cancer diagnosis in Huntingdonshire, and movement in a way that feels right for you is one of our core pillars.

It’s encouraging to see this approach being more widely recognised and supported within the NHS in recent years. As the video highlights, physical activity doesn’t have to mean intense exercise, it can be as simple as walking, gardening, stretching, or joining a gentle group session.

It’s about finding what works for you, at your pace, in a way that supports both body and mind.

If you’d like to take that first step, or simply explore what’s available, we’d love to welcome you.

Please speak with your medical team before starting any new activity.

Take a look at our activity timetable or send us an email info@hccnthecharity.org to find out more.

You don’t have to do this alone 💙
