We’re delighted to share that Hunts Community Cancer Network has been awarded the Good to Go: Good Governance Mark by Hunts Forum.
This accreditation is a strong sign that our charity is on the right track in every aspect of governance, covering policies, safeguarding, financial controls, data protection, and more. Achieving the mark means that our internal processes meet recognised standards, giving confidence to the people we support, our volunteers, funders, and the wider community.
The assessment process was thorough and constructive. We worked through a detailed self-assessment and interview stage, and received invaluable feedback that highlighted both our strengths and practical areas where we can continue to grow and improve. This feedback will help us strengthen our work long into the future.
We would also like to acknowledge the fantastic support of Sallyann and the team at Hunts Forum, who guided us through every step of the application. Their expertise and encouragement made the process clear and achievable.
About Hunts Forum
Hunts Forum of Voluntary Organisations is an independent, non-profit charity based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Established in 1994, it champions and supports voluntary, community, and social action across the county.
Through advice, training, funding alerts, and one-to-one support, Hunts Forum helps more than 120 local organisations grow their impact and strengthen their governance. Their mission is to help voluntary and community groups make the biggest difference they can, while encouraging collaboration and sharing of skills across the sector.
By achieving the Good to Go mark, HCCN demonstrates that we meet the high standards Hunts Forum promotes and that our governance is both robust and sustainable.
This recognition is especially important as we continue to grow and extend our services across Huntingdonshire, and it stands as a tribute to the dedication of our staff, trustees, and volunteers who work every day to keep HCCN a trusted and resilient charity.
