Living Well With Cancer
Tailored sessions around Nutrition, Sleep & Wellbeing.
Helping you feel stronger, more in control, and supported.
Looking after your nutrition, sleep and overall wellbeing can feel overwhelming, especially during or after cancer treatment.
Our sessions are designed to support you in a practical, gentle and personalised way, helping you make small changes that feel right for you.
A recent programme shaped around you
We recently ran a tailored nutrition and wellbeing programme, bringing together 19 people from across our community.
Before the sessions began, attendees shared what they were finding most challenging. This helped shape the programme, ensuring it focused on what really matters.
The day also included a healthy buffet lunch, giving everyone time to pause, connect and continue conversations in a relaxed setting.
The Key areas included:
- Nutrition and eating well during and after treatment
- Improving sleep and managing fatigue
- Stress management and emotional wellbeing
- Gentle movement, including a Tai Chi Session
Guided by experienced practitioners
The sessions were delivered by experienced practitioners who understand the challenges of living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis.
Michelle Chester led sessions on nutrition, sleep and stress management, sharing practical, easy-to-apply guidance to support everyday wellbeing.
The day also included a gentle Tai Chi session led by Thelma, offering a calm and accessible way to relax, move and reconnect with your body.
Together, the sessions combined expert knowledge with a supportive, welcoming approach, helping everyone feel comfortable, informed and able to take things at their own pace.
What people told us
The feedback from the programme was incredibly positive, with many people saying they felt more confident, informed and supported.
Just as importantly, it created a space where people could share experiences, learn from each other and feel less alone.
Here’s what some people said:
“It was really good, very informative. I like that the session was informal and everyone had a chance to speak & discuss symptoms, tips and experiences”
“Enjoyed the whole day, loved chatting to new people on a similar journey”
“Very well organised and pleasant day, Lunch & Refreshments were good, Thank you”
Takeaways – Before the session, we asked the attendees what they were finding most challenging. This helped shape the day and ensured the content was relevant and meaningful.
At the end of the programme, we asked people what they were taking away:
“Be kind to yourself – small steps make a big difference”
“Help with relaxation, sleep and nutrition”
“Balance of meals throughout the day and more water!”
Due to demand, we will continue to run these sessions in a tailored way, shaped around the needs of those attending.
