Join us in our Easter Knit-A-Chick campaign, in which knitted/crocheted chicks are filled with a Creme Egg and sold to help raise funds for HCCN, to enable us to continue providing free support to adults (18+) in Huntingdonshire going through a cancer journey.
Calling all knitters and crocheters!
We are looking for knitters and crocheters to help us make as many little chicks as you can manage. We have a knitting pattern you can follow, but they can be any colour and design.
Creme Egg Donations
In order to fill the Easter Chicks we need to gather as many Creme Eggs, or similar as possible. If you would like to donate eggs we would be incredibly grateful.
Dropping of Chicks/Eggs
We ask that finished chicks are dropped off to Bradbury House, Mayfield Rd, Huntingdon PE29 1UL or Beacon Wealth Management Ltd, The Old Chapel, Thrapston Road, Kimbolton, Cambs, PE28 0HW.
When dropping off your chicks please include your name and contact details so that we can say thank you.
If you are a business and are able to collect and/or sell chicks we would love to hear from you.
Selling Chicks
After Friday 1st March you will be able to buy them from:
- HCCN drop in groups
- The Woodlands Centre, Hinchingbrooke Hospital
- Floored By Ian, St Neots High Street
- Beacon Wealth Management, Kimbolton
We are looking for other venues to sell chicks. Schools, nurseries, shops and offices can all be great selling locations. We can supply you with the chicks, posters and collection pots. HCCN sell the chicks for a minimum suggested donation of £2 each.
