On 15th May 2022 HCCN at last held our twice postponed Memorial Service at the Cromwell Suite, Huntingdon Racecourse.
The lovely Vanessa Corbishly was the humanist celebrant for this moving occasion.
We collected photos of the people that our attendees wished to remember and ran a slide show of them throughout the day. 36 HCCN people attended the event and many contributed photos or music that had special meaning for them.
Vanessa paid tribute to the wonderful HCCN nursing team and the amazing extra work they had done during the pandemic. Appropriate poems and readings were included and several other people also paid tribute to the nurses.
After the service there was tea, cake and chat, with a final cheering performance by the Huntingdon Ukulele Group.
